Description
IGNOU Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing is a distance-mode degree programme for in-service diploma-holder Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives. It is approved by the Indian Nursing Council and is meant to help working nurses upgrade their knowledge, clinical competence, teaching, administration and research skills.

Eligibility
- Route 1: In-service Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with 10+2 + 3-year GNM, with minimum 2 years of experience after RNRM registration.
- Route 2: In-service Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with 10th class/matriculation + 3-year GNM, with minimum 5 years of experience after RNRM registration.
- Male nurse condition: Male nurses who have not done midwifery in GNM must have a 6-9 month nursing course certificate prescribed by INC in lieu of midwifery.
