Description
AFMS admits female candidates to the four-year B.Sc. Nursing course at six Colleges of Nursing under Armed Forces Medical Services. AFMC/AFMS states that 220 female students are enrolled annually across six AFMS Colleges of Nursing. Admission is competitive and based on NEET UG merit plus AFMS screening, interview, psychological assessment, and medical fitness.
Eligibility
- Female candidates who are unmarried, divorced, legally separated, or widows without encumbrances.

- Candidate must have passed 10+2 in the first attempt with Physics, Chemistry, Biology - Botany & Zoology - and English, with at least 50% aggregate marks.
- Candidate must also qualify NEET UG 2026.
Fee

Exam pattern
- Admission evaluation uses NEET UG score + ToGIGE + Psychological Assessment + Interview + Medical Fitness.
- ToGIGE is a CBT with 40 MCQs.
- Each ToGIGE question carries 2 marks.
- Total ToGIGE marks: 80.
- Duration: 30 minutes.
- Negative marking: 0.5 mark for each wrong answer.
- Final selection is based on combined merit of NEET UG score, ToGIGE score, Psychological Assessment and Interview, subject to medical fitness and seat availability.
Medical examination
Shortlisted candidates undergo Special Medical Board at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt. Candidates declared unfit can appeal by paying the required fee and reporting within 24 hours for Appeal Medical Board at Army Hospital R&R, Delhi Cantt.
Physical standards
Medical fitness is decided by the medical board as per AFMS standards. Minimum height is 152 cm for female candidates; candidates from Hill and North Eastern States may be accepted with minimum height 147 cm. A growth allowance of 2 cm is allowed for candidates below 18 years at the time of examination.

Benefits during training
Selected candidates execute an agreement/bond to serve as officers in the Military Nursing Service.
