Description
The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) recruits permanent Group-B Nursing Officers primarily through national centralized examinations like AIIMS NORCET & UPSC.
Eligibility
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing OR Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an INC/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/University and Registered as Nurse & Midwife with State/Indian Nursing Council.
- Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an INC/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/Board/Council and Registered as Nurse & Midwife with State/Indian Nursing Council and 2 years' experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after obtaining the essential qualification and registration.

- General/OBC: Rs. 3,000
- SC/ST/EWS: Rs. 2,400
Salary / pay
Level-7 of the Pay Matrix (Pre-revised Pay Band-2: Rs. 9,300-34,800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4,600), Group-B.

Stage I - NORCET Preliminary
- Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Questions: 100 MCQs (100 Marks)
- Distribution: 20 GK & Aptitude + 80 Nursing
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark for each wrong answer
- Pattern: 5 sections x 20 questions x 18 minutes (sections cannot be revisited)
Stage II - NORCET Mains
- Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Duration: 180 minutes
- Questions: 160 MCQs (160 Marks)
- Focus: Nursing syllabus with case scenario-based questions
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark for each wrong answer
- Pattern: 4 sections x 40 questions x 45 minutes (sections cannot be revisited)
